QIC - The Company |
Quest International certification was founded by Mr.Balasakthivelu Ex-Airman Indian Air Force using his team and with the help of their extensive knowledge of all aspects of the 'quality world'. Knowledge gained through working as Quality Managers in industry, Lead Assessors/Managers with other assessment bodies and freelance consultants. |
Today, QIC has its own regional assessors throughout India and has operations world-wide. The Governing board still takes a 'hands on' approach to run the business from the head office in Chennai, maintaining their original enthusiasm. |
Small Businesses |
QIC's roots lie in providing a service which is affordable for small to medium-sized businesses. However, the company's pricing structure and its philosophy of being approachable on any quality matter has resulted in organisations of all sizes choosing to work with QIC. |
The QIC Approach |
Understanding what it is like to be on the receiving end of the assessment process, QIC has developed a unique package of benefits for companies seeking registration for their management system(s). |
Friendly and down-to-earth |
There is no need for assessments to be traumatic. QIC's assessors are selected for their ability to work with the quality representative from the company and to be approachable; establishing that the quality system works for the benefit of the company and checking it as though they were customers of the firm. Emphasis is firmly placed on practicality. |
A rapid response |
Whether it be a query about system certification, or an urgent need to achieve registration itself, QIC specialises in providing answers or audits at speed. Friendly help and expert knowledge are always available at the end of a telephone. |
The use of Industry Experts |
When selecting staff for a particular audit, QIC will always choose an expert from the industry being assessed. This ensures that the audit process takes place in an air of mutual understanding. There is no conflict arising from a lack of knowledge of the challenges faced in running that particular business. The auditor and the company being audited both speak the same language. Quality Documents reviewed on site |
QIC has a policy of visiting companies applying for certification. This enables its quality documents to be reviewed and provides an opportunity for the auditor or the company representative to discuss any areas of concern before the audit itself. Even more importantly, it provides an opportunity for the company to get to know the auditor, starting to build a rapport. |
Not only.........but also |
In addition to its primary function of providing companies accredited certification to a wide range of national and international management systems standards, QIC also offers: |
Free preliminary visits to companies seeking registration, to discuss what the process involves. |
Pre-assessments for companies wishing to experience the audit process and verify the effectiveness of their quality system prior to assessment. |

QIC's track record |
QIC has certified various clients with different types of scopes. More and more companies are not only realising the benefits of being a 'quality assured firm', but also the benefits of using QIC. Its dislike of bureaucracy and its philosophy of being approachable mean that nearly all QIC's contracts stem from recommendations by quality consultants or previously certified businesses. As well as ISO 9001 Quality Systems, more and more of our clients are taking advantage of our growing service portfolio and becoming certified against other standards including, amongst others, ISO 14001 - the environmental standard, OHSAS 18001 - the health and safety standard and ISO 22000 - the food safety standard. This is currently resulting in the company experiencing a period of unprecedented growth. Click here to see what our customers say about us |
